‘Taking Woodstock’ is the new film from Ang Lee, director of films such as ‘Brokeback Mountain’, ‘ Hulk’ and ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’, depicting the staging of the famous Woodstock Festival, the epicentre of the hippy movement, in 1969.
Based on the biography of Elliot Tiber, ‘Taking Woodstock: A True Story of a Riot, a Concert, and a Life’, the film sees the battle to stage the festival after the residents of Woodstock turn against the idea. Watch the trailer, and red carpet interviews with Ang Lee amongst others, above.
