Sparks – Live At Bush Hall

'This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us'

Sparks inspire dogged devotion from the followers.

A truly unique experience, Sparks have built up a back catalogue which moves from artful pop to glam, disco to heaven knows what. At one point collaborating with Faith No More, fans have learned to expect the unexpected from Ron and Russell Mael.

Yet this took even their most hardened admirers by surprise. Reasoning that Sparks was – in essence – a duo, the pair decided to host a one off show at London's Bush Hall where they would perform entirely without accompaniment.

It was a fantastic show. ClashMusic was in attendance, and left with giddy smiles on our faces: "Almost immediately, any fears about the show or how the material would translate to the format are abated. The sheer, natural showmanship of Sparks shines through, with track after classic track reformatted in a brave, distinct manner."

A film crew were in attendance, and we've been handed a clip of 'This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us'.
