Snoop Lion has unveiled the video for his catchy reggae-infused single ‘Here Comes The King’.
Filmed on a trip to Jamaica last year, the video includes footage of him having a smoke, wearing rasta glasses and group of cheerleaders.
The song is a celebratory anti-hater anthem and boasts Diplo and Major Lazer’s trademark reggae-pop production and the catchy refrain: “You may be a lord/But here comes the King.”
The video is a part of Snoop’s Reincarnated project, which captures his exploration of reggae music and his spiritual awakening, which included a priest rechristening him Snoop Lion.
On his name change, he told reporters last year: "The High Priest asked me what my name was, and I said, 'Snoop Dogg.' And he looked me in my eyes and said, 'No more. You are the light; you are the lion."
The next part of the project will be his Reincarnated documentary (hitting theatres on March 22nd) with his new album of the same name due out in April.
Check out the video now.
