Slaves – ‘The Hunter’

Directed by Youth Hymns...

Largely spending 2014 on the road, Slaves’ took their brand of minimalism / loud mouthed (delete as appropriate) garage punk to every nook and cranny of these British Isles.

Signing a major label deal, 2015 could well see Slaves storm into every household in the nation. New single ‘The Hunter’ continues their rise, with the duo managing to re-create their fetid live energy in studio circumstances.

Buoyed by a nagging riff and lyrics that match fears over global warming to animal-like machismo that borders on self-mocking, it’s a neat distillation of the confusing, confused by ever-engaging phenomenon that is Slaves.
