PYYRAMIDS – Do You Think You’re Enough?

Debut album draws near...

Bands are drawn together in curious ways. Once, young musicians swapped ideas via the ads page in Melody Maker. Now, though, a band is more likely to form via a Tweet or Facebook posting.

PYYRAMIDS are a case in point. Helmed by Tim Nordwind from indie rock band OK Go and Drea Smith of He Say/She Say, the two songwriters were introduced via email before swapping ideas. Quickly realising that they both had a bit of a thing for gaunt Mancunians operating in the early 80s, PYYRAMIDS was born.

Debut album 'Brightest Darkest Day' drops on April 15th, all jagged edges and sugar sweet melodies, crisp guitar lines and expertly executed electronics. Noir without being too dark, infectious without being lightweight, 'Brightest Darkest Day' is mean, moody pop music of the kind Factory used to churn out with remarkable ease.

Ahead of this, PYYRAMIDS have placed their new video online. Pictures say a thousand words, so without further ado here's the clip for 'Do You Think You're Enough?'
