New bands often succumb to temptation, with those fruitless first trips to the studio often accompanied by everything apart from the kitchen sink being thrust onto magnetic tape.
Whales In Cubicles though, take the opposite tact. The band specialise in sparse, moody soundscapes in which each note, each whisper sounds carefully defined.
Working with London based new music hub CLUB.THE.MAMMOTH., the group will release debut album 'Death In The Evening' on February 10th.
Produced by Nick Mailing and mixed by Simon ‘Barny’ Barnicott, the album will be preceded by new single 'All The Pretty Flowers'.
The video for the track emphasises the claustrophobic beauty of Whales In Cubicles' songwriting, featuring a number of extreme close ups shot in red.
