Sure, the country has always boasted a fertile DIY ethic, but recent years have witnessed some serious cross-pollination resulting in some quite startling sounds.
TRWBADOR have been described (no doubt tongue in cheek) as 'harpotronic future bass'. There are elements of bass culture here, lingering alongside snatches of folk music including some delicious harp lines.
New cut 'Breakthrough' features TRWBADOR working alongside underground hip hop guru ESSA. 'Breakthrough' is oddly moving, with ESSA's rhymes revolving around some blissful production.
