THIDIUS are part of the creative network that floods over New Cross, one of South London's real hotspots.
Fusing wonky pop with jazz, electronics and more, the band's spiralling live shows are a display of real imagination.
New single 'Mention Nothing' has a psychedelic feel, with its lucid electronics shot through with syrupy guitar lines.
The band explain that “the song starts off with a chilled sense of rolling timelessness – of the everyday, developing psychedelically as the 'voice' becomes seductive talking about the secrets of one’s mind, whilst enclosed in secrets. The music gradually builds this growing tension until the final section when both music and vocals begin to ‘flip out’. Conceptually and lyrically influenced by the Bjork track – 'Possibly Maybe'.”
Clash is able to premiere the video for 'Mention Nothing', directed by acclaimed visual artists Paraic and Michael Morrissey.
Combining to dramatic effect, the pair seem to build an additional universe for THIDIUS to harbour.
