Premiere: The Wave Pictures – Red Cloud Road (Part 2)

Directed by Darren Hayman...

The Wave Pictures just seem to effortless breathe out new material.

The indie pop group are an institution, the sort of people who could scribble down an EP in the time it takes a lift to move from the reception to the fourth floor.

Returning once again, The Wave Pictures have unveiled plans for a new double album. 'City Forgiveness' is out this week via Moshi Moshi, and represents one of the band's lengthiest, their most ambitious documents to date.

By way of a preview, Clash is able to present a brand new clip from The Wave Pictures. Directed by Darren Hayman, it features a man dancing awkwardly but joyously in a room flooded with white.

In a way, it captures the music perfectly. With its Afrobeat inflections and nervous tick rhythms, 'Red Cloud Road (Part 2)' is a gloriously geeky piece of funk.

Watch it now.
