Each song from The Spitfires feels like a sure-fire single.
Maybe they just can't help it – each track feels like a snappy three-minute broadcast, a polemic on the state of the nation, and the place of youth within it.
New album 'A Thousand Times' expands on the this, but The Spitfires haven't forgotten their commitment to the single.
A limited edition release sees the album re-packaged as a series of seven inch singles, combined with special postcards.
New cut 'Return To Me' leads the way. Front man Billy Sullivan said: "For me 'Return To Me' is the centre-piece of the album. It's based on a really old riff that I wrote when I was a kid, that for some reason kept coming back to me when I'd pick up a guitar, so I suppose that's where the initial concept came from. It came out exactly how I intended it to and I think it shows real progression."
Spiky, rebellious rock 'n' roll delivered with no small degree of street smarts and style, you can tune in below.
