Premiere: The Slumdogs – ‘Cut The Conversation Short’

Stabbing indie punk with bags of energy...

The Slumdogs aren't hanging around.

Each song is boiled down to its finest essence, gritty punk matched to a wry wit that draws on everyday life in this country.

Freshly signed to Gary Powell’s (The Libertines) label 25 Hour Convenience Store label, the band are now readying their next single – and it's already a live anthem.

'Cut The Conversation Short' recalls those early singles from The Clash, or Wire's more direct moments, combined with the short, sharp shock that was Discharge.

Oddly infectious – it's a proper pop banger underneath, we reckon – the visuals capture this raw, colourful charm.

Tune in now.

Catch The Slumdogs at Blackpool's Bootleg Social on August 25th.
