Some bands turn from a roar to a whisper as they move through albums, and grind through gears. Not so Los Angeles outfit The Icarus Line, whose new (fifth) album, 'Slave Vows', finds the foursome firing with every ounce of passion they exhibited when breaking through with albums one and two, the freak-out fury of 'Mono' and the still-explosive 'Penance Soiree'.
'Slave Vows' left an immediate impression on Clash – read the review here – and we're far from the only set of critics approving of the record. With a Metacritic rating of 85/100 (at the time of writing), it's one of the highest-rated LPs of 2013.
And now The Icarus Line have revealed the video to one of 'Slave Vows'' most instantly engaging, completely possessed cuts: 'No Money Music'. And Clash is pleased to premiere the clip, which you can watch above. It features a bathroom brawl, of sorts. A little violent, a little sweet… a lot messy.
