Premiere: The Hanging Stars – ‘The House On The Hill’

Swampy, psychedelic but deeply English...

The Hanging Stars seem to use American influences to peer into the heart of Merrie Olde England.

Swampy psychedelia that recalls the Medway Delta as much as the Mississippi, the band's new single neatly conjoins these influences.

'The House On The Hill' is a murder ballad that utilises lines from a traditional song uncovered by folk researcher Alan Lomax.

Given an electrifying, modern update, it tells the story of a girl who drowns herself following a broken heart.
