Steph Carter helped to propel Gallows to infamy and acclaim, before parting company with the hardcore group back in 2013.
Since then, the guitarist has slowly, patiently built up something quit new. The Ghost Riders In The Sky take their inspiration from classic rock 'n' roll, all delivered with a defiantly British twist.
Steph explains: "When I was writing Grey Britain a lot of these early Ghost Riders ideas came together. I was looking for a new songwriting avenue, something I could use to show what came naturally when I played guitar. Influences come through everywhere! The old Americana sounds of Johnny Cash and Elvis, through to the English driving force of Pink Floyd".
New single 'Wastelands' will be released on June 29th, a powerful return informed by the current political landscape. "There's a lot of anger and frustration in it. It's the way I think a lot of the younger generations are feeling in England. In a time when a large majority of the population will never be able to afford a home of their own. There's a sadness to it, but the music's full of anger and defiance."
