Despite the best of intentions, life sometimes just doesn't work out the way you'd like.
The Elwins have been there. The band's songwriting makes sitting on a park bench with the weight of the world on your shoulders feel like an impossibly glamorous situation.
New cut 'So Down Low' is lyrically bleak, frankly discussing a situation which has turned out wrong. Backed with crisp new wave riffing, it finds the Ontario group at their most potent.
The band explain:
"The song is about feeling awful about things. It captures that feeling you have when you realized you really messed something up. We even threw King Kong in there, because sometimes you feel like no matter how hard you try to do the right thing you can still end up being a monster."

The Elwins are set to release second album 'Play For Keeps' on March 2nd. Check out the Canadian group at London's Islington venue on April 1st.
