Premiere: Summers Sons & C.Tappin – ‘Call It Love’

Smooth jazz-style beats with scorching rap...

Summers Sons and C.Tappin are part of the ongoing club conversation between London and Bristol.

Matching blissed out, jazz-style beats with some scorching rap bars, the collaboration includes producer Slim, who has already released on Banoffee Pies and Brownswood.

Debut album 'Uhuru' drops on September 7th, sluicing together their diverse musical backgrounds into a potent musical pot pourri.

We're able to share 'Call It Love' and it's a refreshing jazz-leaning bop, the soulful backing vocals sitting against those snapping rap lyrics.

The pared down sound has a caramel soft feel, reminiscent of early 90s hip-hop – we're thinking Native Tongues, Gang Starr – matched to a UK feel.
