Stornoway marked their return recently, with new album 'Bonxie' resulting in warm critical praise.
A literate, cerebral return, the album taps into singer Dr. Brian Briggs’ background as a doctor (PhD) of ornithology; Bonxie is the Hebridean nickname for the great skua.
Warm, inviting fare laced with folk textures, the album is due to be followed by a summer of festival commitments. New single 'Man On Wire' follows on July 6th, and it's a neat introduction to the band's wider work.
Engaging, breezy and deliciously infectious, the accompanying visuals are every bit as seductive. Opening with a swooping aerial shot above English woodland, it returns Stornoway to the countryside for a beautifully shot clip.
