Premiere: Savage Mansion – ‘Modern Times’

Scuzzy guitar pop from the Glasgow tykes...

Glasgow's Savage Mansion recently returned with new EP 'Document', a collection of torn 'n' tattered guitar pop hymns.

Hazy, scuzzy songwriting set to a laissez faire attitude, the group's relaxed demeanour belies the seriousness with which they approach their art.

Out now on cassette alongside digital streaming, 'Document' is a fine step forward, reminiscent of those early Teenage Fanclub or Guided By Voices cuts but given an off piste spin.

Supporting Jess Williamson at her London show last week, Savage Mansion are now ready to unveil the full video for EP cut 'Modern Times'.

Fuzzy Pavement-esque scenes abound, with Savage Mansion conjuring a wonderful, face-melting guitar solo as the song reaches its apex.

The video is typically silly, and finishes with Savage Mansion larking around in Cathkin Park – once home to Scottish football club Third Lanark.

Tune in now.
