Bristol talent Rob Bravery is determined to do things his own way.
The songwriter doesn't want to dilute his art, and has fought hard to achieve this. New EP 'You Take Half' is incoming, and – remarkably – it's arriving exactly as he envisaged.
Rob explains: “It’s tricky to get where you want to go without compromising in some way, shape or form. I don’t want to head there in a compromised fashion. It’s vitally important for everything to be what I think it should be.”
Partly, this independence has emerged from the comfort he now finds himself in. “This time I’ve honed in on who I really am as an individual. I’m in a position, for the first time, that I’m not completely struggling financially, and I can afford decent equipment to realise my sound. It’s completely me.”
Clash is able to premiere the visuals for the title track. 'You Take Half' is, on the surface, soothing, introspective, and mellowed out fare, with Liam Howe assisting on production.
Jackson Ducasse helms the visuals, and they're every bit as ambitious and engaging as the music.
