RAINES is a songwriter based in Liverpool.
If it felt useful, we could no doubt dwell on biography, on influence; however, with music this striking, it's probably more important to simply delve in.
'Ghosts' was placed online a month ago, a deeply personal track which finds the singer uncovering the paving stones of the soul and gazing at what he finds underneath.
Clash is lucky enough to be able to premiere a live version, featuring little more than RAINES' voice, a piano and some ethereal guitar.
The songwriter explains: "'Ghosts' is really important to me, it's about my dreams and my nightmares. It's about having someone to fight the world with. It's about love and loss, but also the idea that these feelings don't stop just because a relationship does."
