The varied members of Radio On share one main thing in common: they all grew up in sleepy, out of the way towns.
Spread across Scotland and Northern England, the band eventually coalesced in London. Fusing a love for art house cinema with a predilection for pop music, the group take their cues everywhere from David Hockney to David Bowie.
New single 'You're Always Right' is gleefully infectious yet lyrically troubled. Upon chopped up guitar lines the track spins the tale of a radio DJ travelling the country in the wake of his brother's suicide.
Sam Hayward commented on the paintings which inspired the track recently, remarking that “there's a bittersweet positivity to it.”
