Premiere: Pink Milk – ‘Detroit’

Scandinavian shoegaze with a gothic tinge...

Pink Milk are a shoegaze duo from Scandinavia, two musicians with a near gothic sense of sound.

Based in Gothenberg, the pair are part of the city's astonishingly vibrant creative scene, a community that underpins their new video.

New cut 'Detroit' is a gorgeous, gossamer piece of music, the driving shoegaze guitars set against some baroque moments in the vocal line.

The accompanying visuals were produced by Pink Milk themselves, with the band explaining: “The video is about two brothers hanging out and skating through a medieval town on the island of Gotland. Inspired by ’The Brothers Lionheart’ tale and eternal friendship.”

Pink Milk add: “The song is written to a childhood friend; We were kids trying to be cool, smoking candy, blowing fake smoke in the air, dreaming about freedom.”

'Detroit' is out now on Woah Dad.
