A new name on the scene, Pink Lizards fuse the emphatic poetics of PJ Harvey with the sludge rock of, say, early Black Sabbath.
Fuzz units mingling with broken down wah wah pedals, the band's live shows have a deranged kind of charisma.
New cut 'Settle For Lust' is a case in point. There's a blistering sense of soul here which recalls Janis Joplin, yet it's delivered with a frenzied energy which would rival The Cramps.
