As the oft-observed cliche holds: writing about music is like dancing about architecture.
So why not let the musicians introduce themselves? Here's PHOX: "PHOX is a bunch of friends from the Midwestern circus hamlet Baraboo, Wisc., a place where kids often drink poisoned groundwater and become endowed mutants. They make music that straddles Feist and Monty Python."
Or in other words: they're a Mid-West band who sound like they come from the South, a modern outfit who make songs Fleetwood Mac would cry for.
Debut single 'Slow Motion' is due to be released on June 9th, and it's a pop sensation in waiting. A heady mix of snappy songwriting and a funky strut, the track comes equipped with an instantly infectious video.
Shot by Zach Johnston, the clip features a vast cast with the action evolving in witty tandem to the music itself.
