Ooh, another video premiere from the other side of the English Channel to brighten up an otherwise ordinary Thursday. After Mina Tindle’s ‘Taranta’, here, now we’ve this animated treat from psychedelic-pop fellow Pablo Padovani, aka Moodoïd.
‘La Lune’ leads the way for Padovani’s debut LP, ‘Le Monde Möö’, out on September 1st through Enterprise/Sony Red. When he’s not making this sort of thing, alongside some rather glam bandmates if that photo’s anything to go by, you can see Padovani playing guitar in Melody’s Echo Chamber’s touring ensemble. Not a bad gig. Not bad at all.
The Guardian reckoned that Moodoïd has something of the Connan Mockasins about it. And, because it’s late (and because that’s true enough), we’re stealing that. Thanks.
