Moats are four friends, four comrades-at-arms, who make a righteous, mischievous racket.
Part of Britain's growing guitar pop underground the group were chosen to appear on the 8ON7 tape, alongside Hooton Tennis Club and Spring King.
Since then Moats have been biding their time, working on fresh material while honing their live show to a dangerous level.
New cut 'Hungry' ends the wait for new material, and it's a bristling, ecstatic return. Moats explain: “We wanted to keep the song as spacious as possible so each element of the track could be heard individually as well as within the song as a whole. We spoke about what emotions we wanted to portray and particularly focused on making sure that in each section the music reflected the lyrics – Lyrically the song focuses on craving something really badly and constantly working hard towards feeding that craving”.
