Modern technology has opened up new music as never before.
A remix constructed in Hong Kong can be downloaded in Cape Town before igniting a dancefloor in Berlin. The internet has made the world smaller, for sure, but it's also created any number of new possibilities.
Maps has decided to embrace a few of these possibilities on his new project. Upcoming single 'You Will Find A Way' is a glorious piece of synth pop, containing the colour and drama of Pet Shop Boys but with a blissful, transcendent wash.
Pairing up with Talent House, James Chapman is throwing open his music to new producers. Stems from 'You Will Find A Way' will be placed online, with young beatsmiths able to tease Maps out in any direction they wish.
Open for six weeks, two winners will be chosen on 9 December and announced via Filter.com. The remix entry with the highest number of votes will receive a signed vinyl copy of Maps new album 'Vicissitude', while the overall winner will receive their remix included on forthcoming Maps release, an Ableton Live 9: Standard Version, and a signed vinyl copy of Maps' new album 'Vicissitude'.

For now, Maps is able to showcase the new video for 'You Will Find A Way'. Shot in a lo-fi fashion, it finds James Chapman surrounded by banks of synthesisers, with degraded tape effects fitting the track's retro-Futurism.
