Premiere: High Hazels – ‘Valencia’

Sheffield band continue to impress...

High Hazels do things their own way.

The cult Sheffield outfit delivered their debut album in October of last year, an intoxicating blend of psychedelic swirl and joyous indie songcraft.

Now the quartet are ready to take their next step. New single 'Valencia' arrives on April 27th, packed with exclusive B-sides.

The title track is a beautiful introduction to the band, opening with chiming guitars and pounding drums before fading into aching harmonies and blissful vocals.

“Hazy afternoons spent drifting through an ancient river bed formed the inspiration behind this song,” says P. Barlow. “The river bed has now dried and is known as the ‘Garden of Turia’. Drenched with summery guitars and plenty of Valencian juicy oranges, the drums pound through the back streets and into the town square.”

Clash is able to premiere the accompanying visuals.
