Premiere: Goldwash – ‘You Don’t Wanna Feed The Fire Anymore’

A gorgeous return...

Gabe Acheson studied classical composition and jazz at Yale, but his interest has always lain with pop music.

Placing a few half-formed ditties online in 2016, he was stunned when they went viral, racking up millions of plays.

Soon he was at the centre of a bidding war, working with other artists, and playing massive venues in Los Angeles.

Burnt out by the industry, he eventually escaped Ensenada, Mexico with his surfboard, a borrowed mic, and the last of his savings.

Deciding on the name Goldwash he began sketching out music exactly as he wanted to hear it, a series of woozy, engaging, tripped out jams.

Debut album 'Flat Earth Surf Club' lands this year, with Goldwash able to share his blissfully engaging new single 'You Don't Wanna Feed The Fire Anymore'.

He comments: "It's a song about the surreal, psychedelic side of feeling down and out. The lyrics are pretty blunt and relatable (I hope) for anyone who's been at the tail end of a relationship. I drew on my background in jazz piano and barbershop singing to set the mood with thick, unusual harmonies."

We're able to share the adventurous, dream-like visuals before anyone else – a truly addictive feast for the eyes…
