Globelamp is freshly signed to Wichita records, with her new album 'The Orange Glow' set to arrive next month.
Real name Elizabeth le Fey, the sometimes stark nature of the sound is matched to a longing for beautiful melody.
Spectral, skeletal fare, her psychedelic folk vision found her briefly annointed as the White Witch of Foxygen before turning solo.
'The Orange Glow' arrives in June, but ahead of this Clash is able to air a special live video.
Shot by Stickhouse Sessions, this clip finds Globelamp breezing through the title cut of her new LP, in some pleasingly pastoral circumstances.
The rural scenes bring out something quite ancient in her work, her voice billowing up into the clear sky.
Directed by Madden Meiners, the clip features an art piece called Stickwork by Patrick Dougherty, and it is situated along the Hillsborough Riverwalk in North Carolina.
Elizabeth explains: "This song used to be called 'An Ancient Aching' and at the last minute I changed it to 'The Orange Glow' because I wanted the album title to be a track on the album. 'The Orange Glow' is a deceptively beautiful and alluring light that pulls you in only to reveal its monstrous horrific colours up close."
