Ghum made their debut only a little more than 18 months ago, and since then have supported the likes of Dream Wife, L.A. Witch, The Underground Youth, and many more.
Playing Indietracks this summer, the band's poised, intense set caught the imagination of everyone on site.
New single 'I'm The Storm' – part of an incoming double A-side release – comes at exactly the right moment, with Ghum tapping into their primal live energy.
A taut, wiry performance, 'I'm The Storm' matches their post-punk squall to a gothic sheen. Jojo from the band explains:
"I'm The Storm' speaks about the difficulties of being in a relationship and not being able to give what your partner wants. It talks about the silent internal suffering you experience before breaking up with someone, the calm before the storm…"
The video is an oddly surreal jaunt around an industrial estate, featuring Stuart Maconie's memoir Cider With Roadies being eaten page by page.
Tune in now.
