Gavin James learned his trade the hard way.
Playing covers in Dublin's mosaic of bars, pubs and live venues, the aspiring singer would perform seven nights a week, three hours a night.
All that hard graft simply honed his skills, however. 2014's 'Live At Whelans' was a sensation in his homeland, and sparked a dogged cult following both in the UK and the United States.
Announcing plans for a series of huge headline shows, Gavin James is now able to unveil the video for '22'.
The song itself is completely autobiographical, and finds Gavin reflecting on his experience of being bullied while at school: "And I remember the cold cold morning / And I remember the rainy afternoons / When I was dreaming that I was 22…"
Featuring Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil on guitar and mixed by Spike Stent, '22' featured as a standout on 'Live At Whelans' but has now received the full studio treatment.
Muscular yet tender songwriting, Clash is proud to present the first airing of the video for '22'.
Check it out now.
