Premiere: Dråpe – ‘My Friend The Scientist’

Gorgeous shoegaze inspired songwriting...

Dråpe (pronounced 'draw-peh') are already a cult property in their native Scandinavia.

The Norwegian five-piece released their debut EP back in 2011, and since then have perfected a unique brand of shoegaze-drenched guitar pop.

New album 'Relax/Relapse' will be released on October 9th, and it's a suitable point for UK fans to get on board.

A lush, enveloping and continually surprising record, it finds Dråpe giving those early ideas time to fully blossom.

Clash is able to premiere the video for 'My Friend The Scientist' and it's a gorgeous affair.

The opening guitar textures are reminiscent of Slowdive but the way the track progresses, it's zig-zag evolution, is pure Syd Barrett. Beautifully chaotic, it fascinates and beguiles in the most perfect way.
