Life, we mean. The daily grind, the commute, the office… it can all build up. Sometimes all you want to do is escape.
City Reign seem to capture this perfectly on 'Disappear'. Musically, it's a driving, indie rock epic, full of low slung bass lines, choppy post-punk drumming and searchlight guitar lines.
The accompanying video is beautifully animated, set on a barren alien world. Rendered in monochrome, it's reminiscent of Ted Hughes' 'The Iron Man' and oddly affecting.
