According to no less an authority than the United Nations, Denmark is one of the happiest countries in the world.
Perhaps it's their diet – after all, Scandinavians are partial to fish, which contains nutrients which are vital to the brain. Or it could be the high employment levels, which are traditionally coupled with less hours in the office.
But it's probably the music. Denmark's music scene is booming, with young artists flooding into Copenhagen to take part in any number of new ventures.
Amid this maelstrom of creativity, though, Boho Dancer still stand out. Bewitching Acid Folk with a deeply personal edge, their intertwining harmonies, their intricate song structures are matched to an unusual directness.
Debut album 'Gemini' is given a British release on September 2nd, with the band also announcing two headline shows in this country.
Ahead of this, Boho Dancer have recorded an unusual cover. Originally written by Arcade Fire, 'My Body Is A Cage' is an intense, triumphant take on the original – the interweaving vocal parts seem effortless, while the crisp, mechanic percussion hints at the post-dubstep programming of James Blake.
Watch it now.
