Premiere: Behind The Scenes With Middle Class Rut

On the set of 'Aunt Betty'...

Sacramento rockers Middle Class Rut – Zack Lopez and Sean Stockham – are back with a new album, and an entirely NSFW video in the shape of 'Aunt Betty'.

The track is taken from the duo's second album, 'Pick Up Your Head', due out on June 24th.

If you've not seen the video for 'Aunt Betty', well, you're on the internet, so finding it won't be hard.

Right now, though, Clash is pretty pleased to premiere a behind-the-scenes look into the making of the video.

Because there's always something captivating about watching someone through a camera, who's already watching someone else through theirs, right?

Of the new album, vocalist/guitarist Lopez says:

"On every song, we added percussive elements that play along with the drums to get a more spontaneous bang to build off of. It's not overkill, but it does sound more like a normal rock band. We had a budget, but we didn't send out for any fancy equipment. I used my practice amp and the usual amps I use on stage. We didn't use samplers. We didn't want any sounds a thousand different people have used before."

'Pick Up Your Head' is reviewed in the next issue of Clash, since you were curious, available in newsagents on June 10th.
