Barry Adamson has more than a few strings to his bow.
A former member of Magazine and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, the songwriter has since broadened his scope, becoming a writer for stage and cinema.
New solo 'Know Where To Run' emerged earlier this year, with the material owing its genesis to photographs Barry took while on tour with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
The collection gradually became a book, before prompting a number of songs in their own right. Playing a number of solo shows this spring, Barry Adamson has also helped craft a new video.
'Up In The Air' was directed by Rank Amateur and Barry Adamson himself, and it's a fascinating, gritty, poetic glimpse into the themes running through his new album.
