Could 2012 be the year that guitars make their return on the the landscape of the British mainstream?
It certainly seems that way. One glance at the BBC Sound Of 2013 poll (released yesterday) shows a plethora of groups who adhere to that old guitar-bass-drums format, while having their own identity as well.
Hailing from Birmingham, PEACE have a better chance than most with the band already causing headlines. Playing a series of storming shows across the country, debut EP 'DELICIOUS' cracked the iTunes charts on its release earlier this year.
Now new single 'Wraith' is set to keep the momentum flowing, with PEACE planning to start the New Year in typically raucous fashion. Out on January 14th, 'Wraith' could well smash into the charts given the famous New Year lull in releases.
PEACE have just uploaded a new video for the track, which has caused ripples online – featuring two strippers, the band sit blank-eyed in front of the show while the nudity flows around them. Harrison Koisser had the following to say: “Wraith is about falling in love with a prostitute, but not really a prostitute and not really falling in love”.
Watch it now.
