Paolo Nutini isn't in the mood to take prisoners.
Clash caught the Scottish singer in action recently, unveiling a batch of new material in front of a packed crowd in North London.
Ever the showman, what really impressed was Nutini's voice – that impish charm remained, along with an assured sense of control which cut to the bone.
New album 'Caustic Love' will be released on April 14th, with the singer unveiling new cut 'Scream (Funk My Life Up)'.
A sharp, funky and soulful ode, the video comes directed by Nez and was shot in Los Angeles. Paolo Nutini explains:
"What a pleasure it was to make … all of those interesting, beautiful people, giving us an insight into how they do what they do and being kind enough to do it on camera. Loved every second of it. Shine on you crazy diamonds."
Watch it now.
'Scream (Funk My Life Up)' will be released on March 31st. Paolo Nutini has confirmed a new batch of tour dates, with tickets going on sale this Friday (March 14th) at 9am.
