Celebrated indie trio Doves are to release a new single, ‘Winter Hill’, on July 20.
To be fair, the track always shined as a potential single on its parent album ‘Kingdom Of Rust’ (REVIEW), so it’s hardly a surprise to see it confirmed as such a release. The album – the Manchester band’s fourth – is seen as a strong favourite for this year’s Mercury Prize.
The video to ‘Winter Hill’ is standard Doves fare, in so much as it doesn’t actually feature the band members themselves. Look out for the fellow riding the fence. As you do.
