Almost everything Mykki Blanco puts her name to feels like a performance.
Ranging from press shots to her music, the New York artist seems to apply her idiosyncratic taste, her extrovert persona to anything she attaches her name to. Working with a number of producers, the rapper is gearing up for the release of new mixtape 'Cosmic Angel: The Illuminati Prince/ss' on November 7th.
Ahead of this, Mykki Blanco has opted to unveil a new track. 'Haze.Boogie.Life' is produced by Sinden & Matrixxman, and the beats are typically edgy. Taut and full of space, the production is matched by Blanco's stuttering, biting flow resulting in something which seems to scratch against your skin.
At one point Mykki Blanco stops toying and produces a mission statement, of sorts: "It's a war out here, the real vs. the gimmicks, they all want to be stars but they hearts ain’t in it, they all want to go far but its survival of the fittest.."
