The Zombies know how to pluck those heartstrings. The music legends have written some of the finest love songs in the pop cannon, using matters of the heart to inspire them to greater and greater heights.
This Spring looks to be a busy spell for the much-loved group. New album ‘Different Game’ is out on March 31st via Cooking Vinyl, while they’re flying out to SXSW to premiere new documentary Hung up On A Dream.
The premiere takes place at the Zach Theatre in Austin, Texas on March 12th, and fans on the ground might just spot the odd Zombies performance or two.
Ahead of this, The Zombies have shared a Valentine’s gift with fans. Taken from their incoming LP ‘Love You While I Can’ is a message to embrace love where you find it, seizing upon its glories in whatever form it may take.
Beatific baroque pop with a decidedly English feel, they’re able to meld together West Coast harmonies with something soothing, and almost psychedelic. Rod Argent says the single is “a love song, about when you have the sudden realisation that the relationship you’ve embarked on is going to develop into something special – you somehow know for sure that this time it’s for real – the one that could last for life! – and that without any question, and without even having to talk about it, you both share the feeling!!”
As a special treat, we’re able to share the full video for ‘Love You While I Can’, a wonderful evocation of the song’s themes.
Tune in now.
