Times are tough for the indie community.
These days, it often seems that carrying a guitar case is a fast route for social extradition. Thankfully, Maximo Park don't seem to mind – in fact, if their upcoming British tour is anything to go by the band are actually thriving.
Long since sold out, the nationwide jaunt follows the success of recent album 'National Health'. All jagged riffs and smashed out hi hats, it found the band on typically lively form. Taken from the album, 'The Undercurrents' is a three minute blast of barely contained energy. Given the visual treatment, Maximo Park have shot a video which uses public transport as alternative videos.
It's all a bit 'guerilla gig'… remember them? Popular at the same time as guitars…
