Hotly-tipped pop riser Luvcat has shared her new single ‘Dinner @ Brasserie Zédel’.
The singer recently breezed into London for a packed out show at The First Fifty showcase, before claiming support on huge Autumn runs alongside The Last Dinner Party and Paris Paloma.
Widely expected to make the coming 12 months her own, Luvcat has just shared something new.
A precocious blurring of old and new, ‘Dinner @ Brasserie Zédel’ melts together her powerful vocal, a 50s style guitar twang, and a neat narrative effect in the lyric.
The video picks up on this – echoing her stint as a waitress in her hometown of Liverpool, it’s a Twin Peaks vibe, by way of the Mersey.
“I wrote this song about a man I fancied and how all I wanted was him to take me for a prawn cocktail at Zédels,” Luvcat says of the single. “The music descends into madness.. much like when we become fixated on one another.”
Tune in now.
