Leo Law wants to break free of restrictions.
In his personal life he tries to life as free as possible, and this wrings out new paths for his music.
New single 'Buried' is a case in point. Opaque soul-pop with a real sense of drama, it's shimmering on the surface, but underneath it's a plea to break free of control.
“If you look at the lyrics of ‘Buried’, they’re about that idea of the substance constantly being on your mind and controlling you,” he comments.
The visuals were crafted by Dottee Simone in collaboration with Leo Law himself. A startling feast for the imagination, it's a colour-saturated escapade.
He comments: “The general concept of the video is about how people use their vices to escape the struggles of their real life but also how this can lead to sinister consequences.”
Leo adds: “We were massively influenced by the emotive use of colour in Pipilotti Rist and Juno Calypso's work”.
