Did you miss the most eagerly awaited reunion of the decade? Clash was there, sitting somewhere between Zac Starkey and Lulu, and devouring every moment, every sound and every nuance from the sons of thunder, Led Zeppelin.
From the opening ‘Good Times, Bad Times’, through fan favourites such as ‘Ramble On’ and ‘Trampled Underfoot’, plus lesser known songs, and rare acts of showmanship like Page’s violin bow solo on ‘Dazed And Confused’, the rock gods played a long and high energy set that concluded with a monstrous ‘Kashmir’.
Taking a bow, the three original members – Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones – plus Jason Bonham, son of late drummer John, left the stage, but returned for encore ‘Whole Lotta Love’, before repeating their exit/return for a final blistering ‘Rock And Roll’.
