There's a romantic centre to the Emerald Isle, one that just seems to draw us in. Take Kodaline: fresh faced young urchins from the Republic, the four piece seem to be playing bigger venues each time they come to the UK.
It's easy to see why. The band are unafraid to write epic tracks, tackling big subjects – life and love, for two – straight on.
New track 'High Hopes' (taken from the EP of the same name) is a real tear jerker, and comes equipped with a video that could bring salty water to the sternest of eyes.
Starring Liam Cunningham – known for his role in 'Game Of Thrones' – the clip is directed by Stevie Russell and reflects the romantic solitude of the band's music.
