Kagoule know their influences, and are unashamed about using them.
Clearly indebted to Stateside indie rock from the early 90s, there's a Lou Barlow squall to their songwriting, a Fugazi kick in the rhythm section.
But there's a freshness here, a willingness to stamp authority upon these influences, which can't help but bring a smile to your face.
