Jamie xx may have a slim solo catalogue, yet each release feels carefully curated, specially selected.
The producer's upcoming 12 inch is a perfect example. 'Girl' / 'Sleep Sound' drops on May 5th, a tropical flavoured double sider with that trademark emotional reach.
'Sleep Sound' has appeared online, with London based film maker and poet Sofia Mattioli stepping in to provide visuals.
Drawing up the experiences of a dozen members of the Manchester Deaf Centre, the results are beautifully shot and genuinely intriguing.
As Mattioli explains: "the relationship between silence and music is a big part of what I am trying to express with my work".
