James Hersey and ELI share a city, and an appetite to make new music.
Both live in Berlin, a hub for adventurous arts that provides a unique platform for both to do their thing.
A noted songwriter, James Hersey's eight-track mini-album 'Innerverse' made a deep impression on its release earlier this year.
Fellow Berlin-based artist ELI guests on new single 'Hands On Me', and it's a sign that both are propelling themselves into fresh aesthetic avenues.
Beautifully pieced together, 'Hands On Me' is about offering up sympathy and sanctuary, allowing yourself to help someone in a troubled position in their life.
Pop-centric but hugely soulful, the release urges us to look out for one another.
The two explain…
"'Hands On Me' is about loving someone who's lost the power to love themselves. It's about offering yourself as a sanctuary for the other when times get bad."
"We want to give our fans the courage and means to speak up and reach out when it's all too much. To show them that we're here for them, and that we should all be here for one another."
Clash has grabbed the full visualiser for 'Hands On Me', and it's an appropriately moving counterpoint to their wonderful artistry.
